With various nations in the Indo-Pacific region facing increased cybersecurity threats from China and North Korea, the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), the group of countries comprising of India, the United States, Australia and Japan, is gearing up for a cybersecurity alliance to deal jointly with any such challenges from the countries (such as China) that “do not believe in respecting international laws, written pacts, territorial integrity and sovereignty of other nations”. The Quad Cybersecurity Group, which met in New Delhi in early 2023, discussed this plan in light of the risk of cyberwars looming large due to China’s expansive ideology, one that pushed into the Indo-Pacific region.1
